Alleged robber Ronald Tackman escaped from the Manhattan Criminal Court Building this morning (9/30/09) by pretending to be a well-dressed lawyer.
The stylish career criminal donned a three-piece suit and looked so dapper that a court officer assumed he was an attorney, even asking, "Counselor, what are you doing here?"
The courthouse was locked down for an hour until authorities saw surveillance footage of Tackman leaving the building.
Tackman is legendary for his past escape attempts, including an incident in which he took over a prison van with a realistic-looking gun carved out of soap.
